6 Simple Keyword Research Steps To Your Market

As Internet marketers, most of us are drawn to Search Engine Optimization, with the lure of free, on-going Internet traffic, sales and sales leads.

For any small business marketing online, the search engine ranking for our chosen keywords consumes us, causing ecstasy when we succeed and sleepless nights when we fail.

But keep this in mind about SEO: increased sales happen only IF:

** the keywords bring enough traffic; ** are obtainable in SEO competition (and) ** if the keywords will actually convert -- if they actually result in increased sales and opt-in marketing sales leads.

Otherwise, it's really wasted time.

Strategic Keyword Research to the Rescue

We can't correctly perform Search Engine Optimization for our websites without first spending time performing keyword research.

Everyone has a different idea of how to do this.

Some use WordTracker, Keyword Discovery and others use Google's Keyword Research Tool.

In my own practice, I started with WordTracker for my sites and for my clients. I have to tell you that I've changed my mind; my preference toady is for the Free Google Keyword Research Tool.

Now that Google shows an estimated number of average monthly impressions (instead of just the old green bar), the Google tool can really help with your keyword research. If you don't have an AdWords account, you can access the tool independently (just Google: Google Keyword Research Tool).

Grabbing the Best Keywords for your Website Using Google's Keyword Research Tool

Step 1 -- Put your root keyword into the tool. I suggest one phrase at a time, 1-4 words in length. Click: Get Keyword ideas and wait for the results.

Another option is to click: Website Content and let Google pull suggestions from your website content.

Step 2 -- IMPORTANT, change the Match Type to Phrase, which adds quotes to the keyword results. This makes the tool's result most closely match organic search, ignoring the "loosey-goosey" broad match phrases for AdWords.

And under the Show/Hide Columns make sure your settings display Approx Avg Search Volume. (If you're marketing a seasonal product or service you might change to a different setting.)

Step 3 -- Analyze the results. What we're all trying to find is the low hanging fruit: the best balance of traffic volume, ease of search engine optimization and traffic that will likely convert.

I suggest targeting phrases that are at least 5,000 to 10,000 monthly average impressions. Conversely, keyword phrases with very high monthly impressions may prove too competitive in organic search. Find the best balance for your organic optimization skills and for your industry.

If your small business marketing needs to deliver you 200,000 monthly organic impressions and you choose keyword search phrases with between 5,000 and 10,000 monthly impressions, then based on my formula you'll need between 20 to 40 keyword phrases from search engine ranking to deliver you that 200,000 monthly impressions.

Of course, as you discover opportune phrases that are offer greater monthly impressions and that you're comfortable optimizing for, that will lower the number of phrases needed to reach your monthly goal.

Make your keyword list from this criteria. I like to copy and paste into my email program.

Lastly on this point, you'll need good click-through rate data and conversion rate data either from your site or for your industry, to determine the number of monthly impressions you'll need to shoot for.

Step 4 -- Evaluate the competing number of pages in organic search from Google. Is this a number you're comfortable optimizing for?

While you're on the SERPs looking over the search results, look at the AdWords ads and the organic results.

Does your service or product sound like it belongs on this page, for this keyword? Or, does it sound out of place?

And for a search phrase to be good, normally you'll want to see several AdWords ads appearing for the search phrase.

Make your list from this criteria, setting aside any keyword phrases from the previous step (at least for right now) where the competition is too steep. Phrases that look good but with too much competition, save for the future.

This brings up a good point: Keep good notes! Otherwise, you'll come back for the next round of research and have to re-do things that you shouldn't have to. :-(

Step 5 -- Evaluate the phrases still on your list for their likely commercial intention using the Microsoft Online Commercial Intention Tool (Google it).

Now, this is a Microsoft tool...I use it and am glad for the data, but I don't make decisions about any keyword phrase off data from just one tool or from just one step in my process.

Having said that, I wouldn't select 15 phrases for optimization where each of them shows there's not commercial intent.

Keep your list of phrases that still meet your criteria and move onto the next step.

Step 6 -- Evaluate your remaining list in Google's Traffic Estimator. What I look for is the relationship of average monthly impressions to estimated daily click throughs in AdWords. Do they make sense and suggest commercial intention?

If one phrase has twice the monthly impressions, but only 1/2 the daily AdWords clicks, something may be wrong. You may want to look closer.

The goal isn't just traffic, it's traffic that converts -- buys, sign up to your email list, calls or emails your company and becomes a sales lead, etc.

When you complete these steps, you should have whittled your initial keyword list down to the "lowest hanging fruit", the most opportune phrases (easiest to rank well in) COMBINED with the largest amount of quality traffic, COMBINED with traffic that should convert.

The Windows into Your Website

Keywords are the windows into your website. If you target the wrong ones for your business, you won't have the traffic, sales or sales leads that you need.

If you're using an SEO Company to perform your work, make sure they do it the correct way -- not the lazy way -- and oversee their work. Your site, your responsibility!

If you're doing d-i-y Keyword Research, be really educated about what you're doing or your d-i-y effort could cost you more than hiring a qualified company.

NOTE: Another option available from some SEO companies today for those watching their budget is to function as a Marketing Coach (or in this instance Keyword Research Coach). This is sort of a hybrid between the retail price, full-service option and the go-it-alone, time consuming do-it-yourself optio

Pay per Click Ads

There are many benefits to Pay Per Click advertising, making it an effective way of promoting a business "online". Some of them are listed below:

Get launched immediately. PPC advertisements are implemented very quickly - they can go 'online' within an hour after winning the bid and paying for it.

Obtain specific, pre-qualified, and quality traffic. PPC provides you with a quality or a well-targeted traffic. Visitors are narrowed down into 'qualified' people who are actually looking for specific products and/or services that you offer - those who are more likely to become a 'lead' (a convert) and complete a transaction (either by buying your product or subscribing to the service that you are offering.

Widen your reach. PPC advertising provides additional traffic to your site, aside from the natural or "organic" search engines.

Track your investment. PPC advertising makes use of a tracking system that will determine exactly who comes to the website and what they do once they arrive - the length of their stay on the site and the number of pages (including the actual pages) that they view. These are valuable tools in determining statistics such as return on investment (ROI), acquisition cost-per-visitor, and conversion rates (the percentage of visitors who are converted into customers or leads).

Below are some important things to consider when planning on a pay per click campaign:

1. Know your product. Take an inventory of the product and/or services that you have to offer (before anything else).

2. Stay within the budget. Determine your daily or monthly budget; and stay with it. This means keeping your budget in mind, avoiding bidding wars if possible.

3. Bid just right. Know how to bid right - a bid that is too high can exhaust all of your money, while a bid that is too low can make you lose that spot.

4. Watch the bottom line. Measure your profit margin against your spending or expenses. Know when to stop and terminate your PPC program - if you spend more on advertising but have little or no sales at all.

5. Find the right keywords. Decide which keyword phrases to opt and bid for. Do some keyword research, either by actually looking at existing search terms or with the use of online keyword suggestion tools, to know which terms are mostly used when searching for items that are related to your business. Focus on specific keywords, not on general ones.

6. Write effective ads. A good PPC ad is that which can persuade and move a searcher. There are several approaches to this:

· Discount offers

· Testimonials

· Celebrity/famous endorsers

· Money-back guarantees

· Free trials or sample offers

· Freebies

· Reverse psychology

· Major benefits ("Lose weight")

· Direct instructions ("Click here")

7. Maintain a professional-looking site. Your web content should be regularly updated and checked for spelling and grammatical errors. There should be no broken links or images. The website should be simple - designed in such a way that it will be easy for visitors to navigate and load. Include contact details to create a good impression among potential customers.

The downside is that pay-per-click is essentially a bidding war. A higher bid than yours will lower your position on search engine results. This means that you will have to raise your bid to regain your position - which can obviously become quite expensive, especially if you are bidding on a popular keyword.

In order to determine if pay-per-click is a cost effective form of marketing for your business, you must do some computing to figure out how much each visitor to your site is worth. You can compute this value by dividing the profit you make on your website over a given period of time by the total number of visitors for that same time period. For example, if your site made $5,000 in profits and there were 2,5000 hits, each visitor would be theoretically worth 50 cents. The basic formula is profits divided by visitors.

The figure of 50 cents per visitor is the point at which your business breaks even. The idea, of course, is to show a profit, not to merely cover your costs. Therefore, you are aiming at a figure less than 50 cents per click.

Be aware that the most popular keywords often cost considerably more than 50 cents a click. The only way around this is to bid less for these phrases or you will be paying too much for each individual hit.

The key to success is to learn everything you can about search engine keyword research. The good news is there isn't a limit to the amount of keywords you can add to your bid because additional keywords do not add additional cost. This translates into a lot less hassle for you because there is no need to optimize your site to index a particular set of keywords.

Obviously, some keywords are much more effective than others are, but they will not cost you anything except time to set-up your account in your pay-per-click bid. Of the popular search engines that offer pay-per-click, one called Overture provides an online tool that will give you the data on how often particular keywords are entered into their search engine. They also offer suggestions for keywords after you enter a description of your site.

In pay-per-click, this written description is crucial. You must understand that the object of your description is not to generally attract visitors, but to be as specific as possible so that only those visitors who are likely to buy your service or product go to your site. You must use expert marketing copy to guarantee that your description is both precise and enticing to attract the most ideal candidates to your site. This description is your most powerful tool to insure that your bid is profitable.

Another essential element of pay-per-click advertising is that you constantly monitor your bid. It is very important that you bear in mind that the results of the top search engines providing pay-per-click advertising usually appear on other popular search engines. Because of this, the competition for top ranking is intense, and very often you will find that the bidding price balloons too high for pay-per-click to yield a profit.

If this happens, it is advisable to withdraw your bid on that particular keyword and try another one. Remember: when you pay too much per click to make a profit, you are in essence losing the bidding war.

Since losing is not acceptable, you must have a plan in place to closely track the effectiveness of your keyword. It is advisable to monitor your keywords on at least a monthly basis.

Done properly, PPC advertising can be an effective marketing tool that will maximize the return on your investment.

Blogs for Search Engine Optimization ( SEO)

I knew about blogging and blogs for years before I actually started my first blog... So this begs the question... "Why did it take me over 4 years to start my 1st blog?"

Well, why would I want a blog? After all, blogs are just for geeks, self opinionated left or right wing zealots pushing some obscure political agenda, teenage school kids waffling on about their zits and boyfriends or technical journals full of terms and jargon only a rocket scientist could understand.

And I never bothered with blogs or the development of the "blogosphere" again.

Then something changed the way I viewed blogging about July 2004. I was introduced to using a blog as a tool for SEO - Search Engine Optimization. In the crudest form it was almost spamming, but done properly, it will get your website pages spidered almost immediately and indexed in less than a week.

Blog and Ping

The crude method involved first setting up both a blogger (.blogspot) blog and a free myYahoo page. You add the RSS or Atom link from your blog to your myYahoo page, so that your blog feeds into your myYahoo website.

You then write a page into your blog with links to webpages that you want Google and Yahoo to find and index. After posting your new blog entry, you then ping your myYahoo page to tell it that there's a new entry at your blog. Then you go to Yahoo, open your myYahoo page, and the blog headline should be there.

The assumption is that Yahoo would spider all feeds going into it's myYahoo pages and because Google owns Blogger.com they would spider all new blog entries at Blogger.com ... and in fact this is indeed what happens. Start a blog, add entry's to it every day, and in less than a week it will be spidered as soon almost as you post to it. But you must post daily.

blogs and how to get search engine Indexed

Most of us wait agonizingly long period of time for your website to be indexed by the search engines. Google or Yahoo's spider came by your website to indexed your main page but never did a "deep crawl", or visited and indexed the rest of your website's pages. Believe it or not, this happens to most websites within the first month of being online.

There is a new technique that could literally force the Yahoo spider to index your new pages, and even your whole website, almost immediately: Folks, we're talking in less than 2 hours!

This is called the "blog and ping technique"

Blogging has become an important content management tool and benefit from the added importance that search engines give to blogs, but you can also use your blog to drive search engine spiders to your website at will!

Here's how the whole "blog and ping" routine works:

First, you've just created a new web page or you've created an entirely new website that hasn't been indexed by the search engines yet. Iin order for the search engines to rank your new web page or website, you need them to visit your new page. How do you do this? Well, you could go out and get other websites to link directly to this page.

To use the blog and ping technique, you need to create a blog, as I taught you in an earlier lesson . It's free and only takes a few minutes to do.

Search engine spiders love blog content - it's fresh and regularly updated.

Let's look at how you can alert the Yahoo spider to come visit your blog.

The easiest way to attract the Yahoo spider to your blog:

1. Create a My Yahoo account

2. Add your blog as content on your personalized Yahoo page by creating links within the My Yahoo website which you will point to your blog.

3. Notify Yahoo that you've added new content to your blog by "pinging".

When you "ping" Yahoo, they will quickly visit your blog and follow all links

from your blog page. Thus indexing whatever pages you have a link pointing to!

Now that you can bring the Yahoo search engine spider to your blog at will, we can use your blog as a search engine spider magnet for your website or any pages that you want.

All you need to do is to post new entries in your blogs containing links to the pages that you want indexed into your blog. That way, when the Yahoo spider reaches your blog and sees the new post, it will automatically follow the links in that post, and index any page that you want it to index!

Steps to Daily Indexing

1. Start a blog

2. Create a Yahoo account

3. Add your blog's RSS feed into your My Yahoo account

4. Make a few posts in your blog

5. Ping Yahoo

6. Repeat

Let's look at each step, one by one.

Step 1: Start a blog

This is really easy to do, and I've covered this in a previous lesson. The idea is to use a free blog service such as Blogger (owned by Google) to quickly set up your new blog - it takes under 10 minutes.

If you already have your own blog (either through Blogger or any other blogging service), then you're all set.

Either way, on to step 2.

Step 2: Create a Yahoo account

You most likely will have a Yahoo account. If you don't, then use the following link:

Sign up with Yahoo!

This is the same 'regulation' sign up form/procedure that you see on most online services. Once you've signed up, you will have a Yahoo username and password. Note that down somewhere (e.g. in a text file on

your PC) because you'll need that information in the next step.

Step 3: Configure My Yahoo

Yahoo's personalized portal is called My Yahoo and is ridiculously easy to use. You access it by going to the My Yahoo page, and then signing in to your Yahoo account from the box on the left (see screenshot below). Use the username and password you got from the previous step.

Signed in? Great. Now let's go back to your blog. If you remember from the start of this lesson, the idea is to use your blog's RSS feed and add it to your My Yahoo page. My Yahoo works as an advanced RSS reader

by aggregating different content feeds (of your choice) on the same page. If you want to add more content to your My Yahoo page, you do it by either selecting content from the Yahoo directory or by adding an RSS feed directly through a URL.

Anyway, how it works is not important if you didn't understand that. The important thing to know is you need to add your blog's RSS feed to your Yahoo page. This is basically just a "special link" to let Yahoo know where your blog is located, so they know where to go. To do this, follow these steps:

1. Sign in to your Blogger account.

You'll notice my username is "myblog"

2. Select your blog from the Blogger Dashboard.

My blog is called "My Blog"

3. Go to Settings (2nd tab from the left).

4. Select Site Feed from the sub-menu tabs (6th tab from the left).

5. Find the Site Feed URL on the page and either copy it or write it down somewhere.

6. Go back to your My Yahoo page. Login to your account and...

7. Select 'Add Content' (It's located on the left middle portion of the page).

8. Select 'Add RSS by URL' - right next to the 'Find Content' search box.

9. Paste the copied RSS URL into the box and press Add

10. Click the "Add to My Yahoo" button on the next page.

Once this is done, you can return to your My Yahoo page and if you scroll down, you'll see that your blog's feed is now added to the page.

Post on your Blog

After you've added your blog's feed to your Yahoo page, it's time to get to the real meat of the action.

Remember, this is supposed to get your website indexed by the Yahoo spider as quickly as possible .

So in your blog, when you are making your first post, include a link to your website . If your website is already indexed and you're looking to get new pages indexed , you can include them in the post as well.

As a rule of thumb, don't stuff 10 or 20 links into one post. That could trigger spam filters and make life a lot worse for your website. Instead, stick to 4 or 5 links per post. Keep relevant anchor text (these are links,

after all), and use some descriptive content around your links (one more reason to keep the number of links limited).

While this strategy will guarantee quick indexing of your website through Yahoo, it does not require that you ignore good SEO practices or do something that will possibly mark your website / blog out as spam.

Ping Yahoo

Ok, so now that you've made your post and put up links to your website, all that's left to do is to "Ping Yahoo", which will basically tell Yahoo that there's a new blog post on your blog, and that the Yahoo spider

should come check it out.

Like I told you in the beginning, once the spider comes to your blog, it will see the new blog post, follow the links to your website and start indexing your pages!

So how do you ping Yahoo? You can use the following web address:

http://api.my.yahoo.com/rss/ping?u=your blog address

where the text after "ping?u" is in fact your blog's web address.

So if your blog was at http://myblog.blogspot.com , the ping URL will then read:

http://api.my.yahoo.com/rss/ping?u=http://myblog.blogspot.com

Just copy and paste the URL (complete with your blog's web address at the end) into your browser and click Go (or press Enter). This will automatically ping the My Yahoo page containing your blog's RSS Feed, and this essentially tells the Yahoo spider that it needs to visit the blog to update the content in its index.

Repeat

That's it! You can use this "blog and ping" tactic to literally transform your website from one of billions of ignored sites into a hub that search engines visit every single day.

Increase Web Rank in Search Engine

If you're trying to make money on the internet, the best thing you can do is get your website ranked on the first page of search results for the major search engines.

Why?

Because, ranking on the first page of results gives you the opportunity to get quality traffic to your money-making offer, without costing you any money!

This means that any sales you make off of a free website ranking is pure, 100% profit!!!

But then that begs the question: How do you do it?

After all, search engines are confusing! They're always changing, and they rely on super-high-tech algorithms that are top secret to rank websites.

Right? Right?

Well... sort of. Yes, search engines are always changing, and they are run by top secret mathematical equations that try and deliver the most relevant results to their searchers.

However - search engines are NOT complicated.

Quite the contrary, they are very, very simple to understand... IF you know how they work.

And if you know how they work, you'll be able to get any website of yours ranked in the top 10 results of any search engine you want!

(And that is when the money comes rolling in!)

Okay, so what do you need to know about the search engines? Well, you have to learn what I call the "Secret Sauce" of search engine domination.

The Secret Sauce is composed of a number of different factors the search engines look at to determine how relevant your website is for a particular keyword.

Some of these factors are:

Page Title File Name Contextual Links

There are more factors that go into the secret sauce, but these are the easiest to understand.

First is the page title. If you do a search in Google, and look at the results, the title of the page is the first big, blue hyperlink you'll see.

Search engines believe that if a keyword is in the title of the webpage, then that webpage must be relevant to the search query. So they will rank those pages higher than pages that don't have the keyword in the page title.

Next, look at the file name. This is the name of the actual HTML file of the webpage. For instance, most homepages have the file name "index.html". But if you name your file after the keyword you want to rank for, then the search engines will believe it to be more relevant.

So if you're looking to rank for the keyword "flowers", you'd want to name your webpage flowers.html.

Having your keyword in the actual file name of your page will signal to the search engines that your page is probably relevant to that keyword.

Finally, there are contextual links. There are hyperlinks within the content of your website that allow search engines to crawl through your entire website.

When you know how to link to your own pages, using relevant keyword text in the links, the search engines will determine that the page you are linking to are relevant to the keywords in the links.

So if you link to your flowers page from your homepage using the keyword "Flowers", that will help the search engines determine the relevancy of that page to that link.

Now, these are just THREE factors you need to be aware of. There are many others. If you want to discover all of them and find out how to use them to get your website ranked for your desired keywords, you need to check out The Sneaky System.

http://thesneakysystem.blogspot.com

No other method for getting ranked in the search engines is as simple or effective - especially for people who know absolutely nothing about how the search engines work.

When you finally discover all the factors you need to get your website ranked in the top 10 results, you'll be kicking yourself for not learning them sooner.

trick marketing for your web

Enough people have to know that your domain is available and for sale. This business is based on effective research but also it is a numbers game. If you want to succed at flipping domains and increasing the chances of sales and offers for potential profit you have to reach targeted masses. Here are some tips and marketing strategies to increase sales:

• Put your name in your signature in emails and forums so that domain is available for sale.

• Post in the forums, help others and seek answers from experts. This will build your reputation and exposure to your targeted prospective buyers.

• Most message boards have for sale sections on their boards where you are allowed to post your domain names for free. Make sure there are active posts.

• Submit your domains to search engines. This is generally free and if you can learn to promote for free then every penny you earn in advertising revenue is pure profit. If you learn how to promote for free and make small amounts of profits on each domain you are in business. All you need to do now is duplicate the theory making small profits here and there possibly using 100+ domains.

• submit your list of domains in website directories. There are many directories that accept domains. Make sure to list every day and have more exposure to your domain.

• Use the domain name as your username in the forum and other websites. When other people notice the name of the site there is often a tendency to visit the site.

• Invest in your domain by creating a page, blog or create a message board forum.

When a buyer makes an offer, consider carefully. You can not be offended if the offer is very low. As the offer is a positive sign of interest in your domain. Start with making a counter offer by the buyer and current alternative payment options, so, after having justified the price or return on investment.

To assess the buyer of the budget

If the buyer says that all that they can pay is $ 100 and you are asking $ 2000 you may propose what funding options are available, as in domaincapital.com and similar sites.

Knowing the market for selling domain

How to judge a bid may also depend on the markets conditions.

Dominates the market does not fluctuate, when the sales market is slow, so it may be worth considering counter offers more often. In a hot market that offers many opportunities to establish their own terms, when the fight against the bid. The sense of how you want your security deposit, when you want to pay, how long will it take to transfer the name etc.

Rarely is a buyer of the first offer the absolute highest price you are willing to pay. Negotiation is the process of selling the domain.

Make yourself easy to find on WWW to potential buyers. • Many potential domain buyers look at whois information to contact the domain owners. If your information is private then you reduce the chances of receiving more bids or offers. Keep your contact information public to allow an open door for potential buyers. If you donot want to disclose your information, use alternate email addresses, which you would check frequently. Have you bought or grabbed a great domain name and want to sell for good price? If so then you need to contact the big companies, individuals and companies who are in similar businesses.

• Make a list of potential buyers, which may be the companies that are in similar business or domain, as trades (greatdomains. buydomains). If your domain name is generic and can be used for most companies, you should spend more time on this step to get an exhaustive list.

• Keep away from the names or brand names that have elements of TM. You could be forced to let go of the name. This depends on several factors.

• Make a point of highlighting the benefits of your domain name, traffic data, as will benefit the buyer or provide the ROI. There are sample letters that can be found on NamePros.com.

• Send email with the subject appropriate to capture the attention. It 'always good to do a follow-up phone call if you can get someone in the organization.

• After obtaining offers, sincerely respond to each. If the offer is low, you must not be offend. It is normal for buyers to mention a low price. It 'a positive sign, since the buyer cares enough to make an offer and it shows that he is interested. You should take this forward and work with him to get an agreement on price.

• If the operation is aimed to make sure to use an escrow for the transfer of ownership of the domain and to obtain payment. This requires patience, hard work, intelligent sales strategies, ability to negotiate. Persistence will get you there.

So nothing works eh? You have tried everything? There are some web sites that are located throughout the world that you can list domains for sale. If you have done all this before, but could not find any success. There may be many reasons.

There is a clever way to produce results. Try to find a role model or someone who sells domains consistent. Try to model him, do what your role model does and it will help you. You will learn new tricks and tips that can suddenly make your first sale!.

While its hard to find role models doesn't hurt to ask in the community forums or PM active members. Persistence is the key here. Try to find ways to help others so you can be mutually beneficial to one another, so it increases the probability of finding a role model.

How to make visitor into buyer

When you go to all the trouble of creating a website (whether it is a static site or a blog) to make money, you want it to do just that. By the way, while some people feel that the internet is some sacred place that should be free of commerce, I am not one of those. There are plenty of free things available online and there is plenty of room for profitable activities as well. Don't be ashamed, there's nothing wrong with making money online.

Back to the main idea here: you want to make money online and that means getting your website visitors to convert to sales. It has been proven time and again that the best way to do this is to develop a relationship with your potential buyers. And the best way to develop an online relationship is with a mailing list.

Why? Because ...without a list, you've got nothing. You've got no authority (no other partners will approach you to do deals where you can make instant money). You've got no instant traffic (meaning you'll have to re-spend that advertising budget, rewrite another bunch of articles, or redo whatever it currently takes to get you traffic.)

So it's clear that having a list of people ready and willing to hear your sales pitch is any sales person's dream. And because the internet is so huge, there are plenty of places to find these people. But how do you do it? After all, it's one thing saying "Build a list!", but it can often be harder actually doing it. Some people spend years building a solid list of people, with only a small portion of that list actually buying anything from them.

The fact is email marketing is truly powerful in the right hands yet completely lost in the wrong hands. Just like most things I suppose. The obvious fact is that unless you've got a responsive list of people who are willing to actually buy what you offer to them through your email promotions, then you're simply dead in the water like most other marketers.

So how should you approach building a list of buyers who aren't just your usual tire kicker, freebie seekers?

There is plenty of free advice on the issue. You will find an abundance of it if you just Google the search phrase "how to build an email list" You can also learn a ton by visiting online marketing forums and the like. There is plenty of free information out there.

Unfortunately, free information rarely comes with any structure so you may feel really overwhelmed or even frustrated once you find it all. Another way to approach the issue is to purchase a system to learn the secrets of effective list building. Even this can be hard, though, because there are many programs available so you may have to search around some to find the one that is best for you.

One of the most recent programs to teach list building comes from an old time online marketer, Michael Rasmussen and is called "Get More Buyers." You can find out about that program on line. Of course before buying any program, read a good review and try to find testimonials if possible. You can read a complete, free and unbiased review of the Get More Buyers program by clicking on the link below.

make money at home from internet???

if you were to think of a few ways to make cash at home, what would they be. Most people never really give this too much thought but if they would they could come up with quite a few if given enough time. Here are just a few examples.

There will be work involved, just so I don't unintentially mislead you. There are websites, which you may have seen, claiming you can get rich on the Internet and not do any work. This simply is not true.

1. Starting your own Internet business is one way you can make cash at home. Because the Internet offers so many different ways to do it this is an excellent way to create a profit for you.

Whatever website you choose to build your business with, you will need to learn how to promote it. You'll also need to sell products that people have an interest in, or in need for.

The nice thing is the Internet it does not discriminate against you based on your current situation. There are people making money at home regardless of their current income situation, their race, their sex, education level, and these sorts of things.

2. One way you can make fast cash at home is to provide a service for Internet marketers. For example there is a tremendous need for people to set up blogs for Internet marketers who do not have one of their own already.

Another thing you could do is write content for blog owners. Because they don't have content to post, there are millions of blogs right now sitting dormant. Still one final example would be to develop graphics for website and blog owners.

A whole new world of potential ways to make cash at home providing services such as these because of the internet.

3. Do you have a certain thing that interests you or you have a passion for? Perhaps you have a hobby that you'd like to turn into an income stream! It will always seem easier, and never like work if you enjoy what you are doing.

A great way to make cash at home is by starting an Internet business at home and selling products targeting these interests. An easy way to start doing that is to become an affiliate marketer and sell products that are already created.

These are three ideas on how you could make cash at home the easy way. You will have to work, but the rewards can make it worth while!

How To Make Money Blogging

In the last weeks I have received a big quantity of emails from people who is wondered about How to make money through blogging. I was analizing the content of this and similar blogs about this matter and I think the information is not arriving very well to that people who is starting in this lifestyle.

Making money by blogging is not so easy as many people say. In fact, it could be a hard task, and also it depends of the niche. First of all, it is very important to understand that the more people you have, the more money you earn - that’s a fact. Money is on masses, and if you want to earn big sums of money you should have many people following you, otherwise how do you expect to earn money from?. Tip 1: Traffic is key

The first thing many newbies think about making money with their blogs is Google Adsense. I must to say that you won’t earn a penny if your website doesn’t get enough traffic. So no matter how relevant the ads could be, if you don’t drive enough people to your website you will be wasting your time. Tip 2: Advertising does not work without people clicking on it

Another way to make monney with your blog is to sell ad spaces on it, i.e. 125×125px banners or textlinks. You can earn money by exposing other people’s services/products… Wait a minute! did I say services/products? Tip 3: You can make money by selling your own stuff: services, products, resources

There are other ways to make money online but you need to realize the idea of this post.
Is it possible to make money blogging?

Well, the answer to that question is quite simple, IT IS NOT. It is not possible to make money by blogging simply because Blogging cannot generate money by itself! Blogging is a medium, a path between you and an audience who is mainly looking for information and probably for products or services.

You need to devise something to generate money with: it could be a software, a service, a book, a clip of audio… And after then, you could use your blog in order to promote and inform the people about what you offer.

So why people say that they make money Blogging? I think they are not expressing the idea so well, they should be referring that they make money through blogging, or with the help of, using a blog.
Conclusion

To make money “blogging”, you need to have something to sell. It could be whatever you want, in my case i’m involved with web design services, private sales (advertising), text link ads, SEO consulting and affiliate marketing.

When you have something to sell, you need to attract customers by driving traffic to your blog. To learn more about this topic, you can take a look into my Boost Traffic category.

One more thing, and probably the most important lesson of this topic. You need to be patient! It’s very difficult to see good results in a week, so you should have the patience to wait a couple of time until being successful!

Twitter For More Traffic

If you haven’t heard of it, Twitter is a microblogging tool that is all the rage these days. The basic premise behind Twitter is one of short, simple messages that are “twittered” or posted to the twitter platform from the web, text or desktop applications. Twitter can be a valuable source of information, connections and trending news and you shouldn’t miss out.

Here are a few ways to get more traffic to your website through twitter:

1. Post your RSS Feed to Twitter

There are multiple tools available that allow you to post your RSS feed in realtime. The most popular tool that most people use is Twitterfeed. Your followers will get immediate knowledge that your post has been created on your blog. This is excellent because not all of your followers on twitter will necessarily be readers of your blog, but by tweeting your feed they will gain knowledge of your blog.

2. Follow People In Your Niche

Follow other bloggers, send them tweets and become friends with them. Twitter allows you to communicate much more easily and build relationships faster then email ever would. Once you have become friendly with them, you can start guest posting, asking for more exposure, and getting your posts more readers and your blog more subscribers.

3. Hold Contests Via Twitter

Give things away via twitter. You will gain more followers, who will become more aware of your blog, your brand and will start reading your blog and its posts. The best way to do this is similar to the way the Affiliate Summit gives away Free Passes - ask people to twitter a reason why they should win the contest, the answer to a riddle, or what they think about your blog, for example.

4. Solicit feedback on Twitter

Ask friends and followers to give you feedback on new content, get their reactions, and continue the conversation on your blog or on Twitter. Social media and Twitter are all about being interactive, so make sure that you continue the conversation in any and all appropriate mediums.

5. Embed a Twitter box on your web page

Let visitors to your web site know that they can always be instantly updated – install a twitter box on your web site that updates with your latest tweets, and invite your website visitors to follow you on Twitter. Why have your subscribers follow you on Twitter? It helps you build a brand, it increases loyalty, and it gives you more exposure for very little extra work

Blog Ping Service

When a blog is pinged, it essentially tells a web blog tracking system that the blog has been updated. Thus, pinging is the process of telling tracking services that a site has been updated. If anyone dont know how to make a blog yet klik here

So how does pinging work? Well, a ping service scans regularly blogs for updates. Whenever there is a new update for a particular blog, that is reported back to the pinging service’s site. You can almost think of ping services being just like search engine spiders—both scan sites looking for information, and both report that information back to their specific site. The difference is, a ping service only reports back new blog posts.

Pinging, in effect, tells people that there is a new blog posting available. Those who are loyal followers of your blog will see the ping and want to visit your blog. Those who haven’t read your blog before will see the ping and perhaps think “hey, there’s a new blog I haven’t been to before, I think I’ll check it out”. Pinging helps to increase your traffic because it tells people when your blog is updated. Those who visit sites with pinging services will see this information in the form of a scroll on the left or right side, or top of the page. The scroll is usually in XML format and typically includes the title and URL of your blog, as well as the date and time of the update.

FreePingingservice:

The answer is, there are several pinging services available which you can use to have your blog pinged. We’ll go over some of them right now.

Weblogs.com

Weblogs.com is probably the most well-known pinging service. Weblogs.com monitors sites for updates and then pings whenever there is an update to report. Virtually every blog software is available to use Weblogs.

Yahoo’sBlogs

Another popular pinging service. This one is offered by Yahoo and has a built-in integration with movable type and other tools. One cool thing about this service is that it offers the ability to give out updates via Instant Messenging services like AOL and ICQ. It is a direct pinging service, so those who sign up for subscriptions to your blog will be sent an email anytime your blog is updated.

Blogrolling.com

Blogrolling allows its bloggers to manage their blogrolls (updates) through a web-based interface. Recently updated blogs are also highlighted on Blogrolling’s web site. Data is automatically retrieved from other sites like blogger.com and weblogs.com every 5 minutes. Often times your blog is already being pinged by Blogrolling, so you might not have to sign up for it. Search on the site first for your URL before signing it up.

Technorati

Available at http://rpc.technorati.com/rpc/ping, Technorati is another service that pings blogs. It gets its data from a variety of places and is definitely a site you should go to for blogpinging.

These are just 4 of the many different blog pinging services available. A quick search on Yahoo or Google will reveal many other possible blog pinging services to use for your blog. It is best to sign up for as many as you possibly can to ensure that your blog is well-pinged. A well-pinged blog will definitely help your blog attract more visitors. So sign up for as many as possible and watch your blog traffic increase.

Pinging tells people when your blog is updated. It is an incredibly useful, and easy to sign up for service, so be sure to sign your blog up for pinging!
